What is Domain Name Transfer? What are the conditions?

Domain name transfer is essentially changing the domain name registrar. When you want to move your domain from the current registrar to a different one, you initiate a domain name transfer. There are certain conditions required for the domain transfer process. Once these conditions are met, the transfer of your domain name will be completed within a maximum of 7 days.

What are the Conditions for Domain Name Transfer?

• The domain must have its transfer lock disabled. (When performing a Whois lookup, the status should be OK.)
• The domain must have a valid authorization code.
• The admin email address registered in the Whois information must be operational.
• At least 60 days must have passed since the domain was registered.
• There must be at least 7 days remaining before the domain expires.
• The domain owner should not have any outstanding debts with the current registrar.

How to Transfer a Domain Name? Before starting your domain transfer process, you should check if your domain is eligible for transfer based on its registration period. If 60 days have passed since your domain was registered and there are at least 7 days remaining until it expires, then your domain is time-wise eligible for transfer. Before initiating the transfer, you need to apply to the registrar to which you want to transfer your domain. Then, you need to contact your current registrar to unlock the transfer lock on your domain. Alternatively, if there is such an option in your user panel, you can disable the lock from there. Once you obtain the authorization code from your current registrar and provide it to the registrar you wish to transfer your domain to, the domain transfer process will begin.

How to Transfer a Domain Name Between Accounts on goksoymedya.com? There are two ways to perform a domain transfer between accounts.

1. After logging into the account where your domain is registered, click on the Domain Management tab under Domain Operations on the left side of the page. On the screen that appears, click the Manage button next to the domain you want to transfer, then use the Transfer Domain link to initiate the transfer process. During the transfer process, an approval link will be sent to the authorized email address of the account to which the domain will be transferred. Once the link in the email is confirmed, the domain transfer will be completed.
2. The other option for transferring a domain between accounts is to open a support request from both accounts. Once the requests are received, your domain transfer will be processed.
